Three Rivers Festival

Last weekend Dan and I wanted to go to the Three Rivers Festival in town. They always have a fun assortment of food (known as Junk Food Ally) and an area for crafts and other activities. Dan had a meeting downtown on Saturday morning so I tagged along and used the time to finish up a couple books I have been reading and study for my exam. After we finished eating our first round of food we went in search for a funnel cake. And strangely I heard my name (which I never expect to happen) and there was one of my friends from College whom I haven't seen in years. We had a great time chatting with her and her fiance. It was so fun hearing how she was doing,  their up coming wedding plans, and how they met on-line :)

We parted ways so they could get food and I could get my funnel cake and so we could walk through the craft tents. They had a lot more booths set up from last year and even moved their cultural tent to another location, which we found later. Before we left we did get round three of food which was beef tips and red potatoes (a personal favorite for me) and some refreshing lemonade.

By this time we were pretty hot and tired so we headed home to cool off and relax for a while before heading off to a movie. But the movie projector wasn't working so they gave us money back for our tickets and two free tickets each! Not what we had in mind but we were fine with it :)
