Camping

For the Memorial Day weekend Dan and I went camping with my family. We also had a new tent to break in and were very pleased at how quickly it went up :) No more heavy poles or material that takes up our entire trunk! We had a great time eating good food, playing fun games, and enjoying the amazing weather.

 We had to pack up and leave on Sunday night to make it to Ohio on Monday for Dan's family's Memorial Day celebration. On the way home I told him I was sad we couldn't sleep in our tent one more night. So while I was taking a shower he surprised me and set up our tent in the living room :)

Baby Quilt

One of my New Years Resolutions from last year was to make from start to finish a quilt, which included quilting it myself and doing a binding on it. I finally did it! I have a Great Nephew who is being born this summer and in one week was able to put this quilt together. I really like how it turned out and can't wait to give it to my Niece.

I just have to add a tag on the back with the date and who it is for and that it is from us :) 

I learned a lot and am glad I was able to finish it by myself. I was even excited to finally do a binding on a quilt and enjoyed the "magic binding" as it is called because it uses two colors. I am working to finish up Dan's T-shirt quilt which I plan to do all on my own as well.

Dance Teacher

We found out on the 8th of this month that our Dance teacher was leaving. This made us very sad as we have really enjoyed our lessons with him. We will miss him a lot!

We will continue to take lessons but have been given a new teacher, it was someone we have known and we really like her a lot. It was really well done how the studio told us Mr. Fox was leaving and the transition process to our new teacher. We love Aurthur Murray!

Mother's Day Weekend, Part 2

To finish up our Saturday we decided to head out to Grand Haven to watch the sunset and eat ice cream at our favorite place.

It was amazing how calm the water was and how clear the sky was. I love being out at the Lake and was glad we had a chance to spend time out there while we were up for the weekend.

Mother's Day Weekend, Part 1

For Mother's Day Dan and I went up to Michigan for the weekend. We decided to check out the Tulip Festival in Holland, MI which is close to my parents house. People come from all over the world and the tulip fields we saw were packed with people.

 After walking around for a couple hours we headed over to one of the towns close to Holland and had pizza at my cousin's pizza place. We enjoyed sitting down for a while and eating really good pizza!

On the way back to my parents house we stopped at a huge Greenhouse that is at least 3 football fields big. And there was a new friend for Dan :)
