After all the 4th of July festivities we also got a chance to enjoy Marion's First Friday event. They do this every first Friday of the summer months. They always have food, open air market, rides, and fireworks. We got dressed up to celebrate my new job (details to follow in another post) and our engagement (July 1st, 2011) which happened in Marion.
We had dinner with one of our friends and her daughter as her husband was on his way back from teen camp. We made sure not to eat too much so we could have fair food too :) I was hoping for a funnel cake but had to settle on an elephant ear.

The open air market was much bigger than last summer when we went and we got some fresh Kettle Corn. We ended the evening with more fireworks. We were so close we were watching them light them off. It was a lot of fun and we were glad we went.
