Baby shower crafts and gifts

On Sunday I am helping put on a baby shower for one of my friends and former roommates. I have been having fun looking through Pinterest to get good ideas and she has been sending some my way as well. Here are a couple of the things I have been putting together...

Burp Cloth from towel and fabric
Before: no paint
After: with paint (I used Q-tips)

And for a slightly more complicated project I tackled turning a T-shirt into a bib. I again used a towel for the back of the bib and LOVED how these turned out. And it only takes me about 30 mins to make one.

Shirt
Cut it open
Pin down pattern
Cut out around pattern
Pin face down onto fabric for the back
At this point you pin the two pieces together, cut the fabric out, and then sew the two pieces together leaving a space to flip the bib inside out. Once it is flipped the correct way you pin the opening shut and sew around the entire bib again.
Finished!
The last step is sewing on Velcro.  For the full instructions and to get the pattern here is the web-site: http://www.alittletipsy.com/2010/11/baby-week-shirt-bib.html
