4th of July Part 1

Dan and I decided to go out and spend the weekend with Sam and Emily (Dan's sister and her fiance). We got in Thursday evening and had fun on Friday sleeping in, going to the Strip District, exploring one of their museums, eating good food, and enjoying all the festivities before the fireworks.

A church in the Strip District

Loved these little donuts! They had birthday cake, Samoa, and lots of other fun flavors.

We had fun walking down the streets, look in shops, checking out local markets (where we put pins in a map to show where we were from, and listened to a guy playing his guitar for money. It reminded me of the markets in Cambodia just stretched out across a street.

Our next stop was the Natural History Museum and Art Museum. We had fun checking out the exhibits and seeing all the displays.

We drove to the subway station so we could ride the train into town. Dan was excited about it :)

We went to the end point were the three rivers all come together. They have a huge park and we ate good food and enjoyed people watching.
