Vacation-June 7th-9th

To start off our Vacation we went up on Saturday to Shipshewana and spent the night at the campground. We had a ton of fun setting up our tent, reading outside, and getting a fire going. We even discovered that the Scotch Guard we put on the tent a few weeks ago works :) We woke up Sunday morning to rain! But nothing got wet.

We went to a local church in the morning before driving up to Portage, MI to have Carrabba's for lunch. It is one of our favorite Italian places to eat and the one in Michigan in as close as we can get. After eating we headed up to my sister's house where we would spend the night before continuing the rest of the way up to Boyne Falls, MI.

On Sunday night I got to play competitive Volleyball for 2 hours which meant the rest of the week I had bruises on my arms and very sore leg muscles...and it was great! I have missed playing volleyball a lot and it was nice to get to play. On Monday while the kids were at school and my sister and brother-in-law had work, Dan and I went to Anderson and Girls to see their animals and eat their homemade donuts.

Of course we held the bunnies :)

The Sloth came over to say hello (and I got to touch him)

The tiny monkey's were chasing each other and checking us out

Some of their birds

And of course Lemurs
We had a lot of fun and after picking the kids up from school drove the extra 2 hours up to our Resort. Michelle rode with me and Dan rode with Stephen and the kids, Michelle and I were rocking out to Disney songs :)
